Coaching for Leaders

Given the complexity of today’s work environment and the necessity to tackle adaptive challenges, we work one-on-one with campus leaders in confidential coaching relationships.

We work from the philosophical perspective of the International Coach Federation (ICF). With this perspective in mind, we see coaching as:

“… partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaches help people improve their performances and enhance the quality of their lives. A coach's job is to provide support and challenge to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that the client already has.”

When coaching, we:

  • Encourage clients to create personal visions and goals
  • Offer observational feedback
  • Provide access to assessments and interpret data from assessments
  • Ask powerful questions
  • Explore how the client’s beliefs and behaviors may limit the client’s ability to get the results he/she wants
  • Create a safe place to share honestly and grow
