Teleclasses
Jump to classes offeredLed by experts in the subject, teleclasses open the door to collaborative e-learning as close as your computer and your phone. Teleclasses are scheduled conference calls for groups of thirty participants. They are short, interactive, and focused on a specific topic. Registrants call an Ohio State phone number from a location convenient to them, and engage in group discussion. Check here for current classes offered and enrollment procedures.
Teleclass Participant Guidelines
When participating in a Teleclass…
- Schedule a full hour of uninterrupted time to participate in the call. You’ll be much more “present” if your mind and body can relax and focus. This is not the time to do your e-mail or respond to other office demands.
- Use your telephone mute button if available. Background noise can be a distraction for people on the call. If you don’t have a mute button, don’t worry. Just call from a quiet location.
- There may be up to 35 participants in the discussion. It will be important to keep comments and questions focused on the topic.
- We’ll spend the first few minutes checking people into the class. When you join the call, please announce your arrival during a break in the conversation.
- When you speak on the call, please say your first name to be acknowledged – this is the teleclass equivalent of raising your hand!
