What's New

  • Changes to CCS Rules on Recruitment, Selection, and Appointments Approved
    The Board of Trustees approved changes to the Classified Civil Service Rules on Recruitment, Selection, and Appointments at their June 5 meeting. The changes will be effective on July 10. In December 2006, the Ohio General Assembly passed Substitute House Bill 187, an effort to reform Ohio’s laws governing civil service employment. This Act gives Ohio State’s Board of Trustees the authority to amend provisions of CCS rules governing university employees. More information on the approved changes is available here.
  • University Hours for Summer 2009
    University summer hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. started on June 15. Regular hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. will resume on Tuesday, September 8. Offices that remain open later hours to serve students or the public should stay open on an as needed basis. If the decision is to discontinue extended hours for summer quarter, official extended hours will resume autumn quarter. These offices are responsible for communicating extended hours and any schedule changes to their customers.
  • OSU Staff Member Journaling Weight Loss through YP4H
    Pam Frost Gorder, assistant director of research communications, is attempting to lose weight with the assistance of the Your Plan for Health program. She is writing an online journal detailing her progress. A feature article on Gorder’s efforts titled “My Plan for Health” is available here. You can also read her blog.
  • Visit the New Your Plan for Health Web Site
    Your Plan for Health has launched a new web site powered by WebMD. Once registered, you’ll be able to schedule a biometric screening, complete your Personal Health Assessment, track your points through the Incentive Program, and receive customized information based on your current health status. Visit yourplanforhealth.com to register and start taking advantage of the new features the site offers.
